Hello Campers and Parents:
Are you ready for Week 2? The staff has put together an outstanding schedule of events and activities that are going to excite all of our campers.
As we update our Website we would like to share the most important information with you so that we all get Week 2 off to a great start:
Materials List: It is our intention to ask parents for as little as possible. We know your schedules are busy.
Daily:
- 1 snack and water bottles or money to purchase snack and water.
- Kinder needs a change of clothes in labeled Ziploc bag. It can remain at Camp with classroom teacher.
Water Sprinkler Tuesdays (Kinder - 3rd grade only): Each Tuesday pack your child:
- a bathing suit
- sunblock
- towel
- change of clothes for our water activities.
Kinder - 3rd material list
- 1 container salt.
- Empty gerber baby food jars with covers (optional)
- Empty tubes from paper towel rolls (please save them ? we need all we can get)
- Paint with brush for Box Art Fun Activity
- Markers
Fees:
- Kinder - 3rd Grade $15 Little Chef Fee (it's much easier for us to purchase the ingredients than have you bring in different items each day).
- 3rd Grade: All 3rd graders will be learning how to play the recorder with Ms. Christine. The cost of the recorder is $5. Ms. Christine has vast music experience playing the flute and while at McGill University started a non-profit program teaching flute to underprivileged children. This is truly a unique opportunity for Camp Eureka and your children.
- Field Trip Fee (All Groups): This Friday we will be going to Water Spout at Ft. Buchanan.
Water Spout is a very safe water park to take children. It has a non-swimmer section and a swimmer section. We will have a large staff in attendance and the Water Park also staffs 5 lifeguards. Parents are welcome to come but must see the Director if they wish to attend as we need to give you vehicle authorization to enter the Ft. Buchanan base.
Water park and transportation fee is $8.00. If you have any contacts or information regarding bus companies, please share them with our director. We are always looking for strategies to reduce the cost of transporation.
